Clementina D. Ceria-Ulep, PhD, RN
Ceria-Ulep is a proud UH alumna having earned her bachelor’s of science in nursing and master’s of science in nursing administration from UH Mānoa. She received her PhD in nursing administration from the Medical College of Virginia, Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.
Prior to becoming dean, Dr. Ceria-Ulep’s teaching focused on adults, management, and administration while her research and scholarly activities have been on aging & care of the elderly. She is also very active in policy making related to the care of the elderly. In 2017, as the chairperson of the Long-Term Care Taskforce of Faith Action for Community Equity (FACE), she worked with key local and national organizations to pass Act 102, creating the Kupuna Caregivers Program to assist working families to care for their elderly loved ones in the state of Hawaii. Hawaii is the first in the Nation to pass such a law.
