Lisa Broussard, DNS, RN, CNE

Dr. Broussard has made significant contributions to nursing education through leadership and service to the profession. She currently serves as Chair of the Louisiana Council of Administrators in Nursing Education (LACANE) and previously chaired the Louisiana Board of Regents Universal Transfer Pathway Nursing Committee. Her professional service includes board membership with the Louisiana Organization of Nurse Leaders and advisory roles with South Louisiana Community College and Ochsner Lafayette General, supporting nursing workforce development across Louisiana.

An accomplished scholar, Dr. Broussard has advanced nursing education through publications, presentations, and grant-funded initiatives focused on academic innovation, student success, simulation and clinical learning, workforce development, and healthcare quality improvement. As principal investigator and co-investigator on numerous funded projects, she has fostered academic-practice partnerships, expanded educational opportunities for nursing students, and strengthened the nursing workforce pipeline. She is very passionate about the role of the academic dean in fundraising and philanthropy and recently co-authored a publication in the Journal of Professional Nursing which can serve as a guide for others in this critical area of responsibility.

In recognition of her leadership and professional contributions, Dr. Broussard was named a Fellow of the Louisiana State Nurses Association and completed the American Association of Colleges of Nursing Leadership in Academic Nursing Programs Fellowship.
